**Travel clinics are not currently running due to the COVID-19 pandemic**
We run travel clinics at Thornbrook Surgery every Tuesday morning. Appointments are limited and get booked up very early so we recommend contacting us at least 8 weeks before your intended travel date. Some vaccines may have to be given in doses over weeks or months. Appointments are allocated on a first come - first served basis.
The only travel vaccines that the NHS can give are:
- Combined DTP (Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio)
- Hepatitis A
With this in mind and how complex vaccination schedules are we are asking all patients to seek their own travel advice by visiting either www.travelhealthpro.org.uk or www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk to identify which vaccines you need for the area(s) you are travelling to.
If ANY vaccines are required that are not on the above list then we are asking that patients first attend a private travel clinic to receive their travel vaccine schedule, travel advice and to receive any vaccines not on the above list before coming to Thornbrook where we will then administer any of the above vaccines free of charge. Please complete the travel form below before attending an appointment at the surgery.
If you only need NHS vaccines please complete the travel form below and hand it into reception. Please then make an appointment with a Practice Nurse to attend for your NHS eligible vaccines.
